Perhaps that might seem like strange thing to say? Thing is, it’s absolutely 100% correct. So how could you possibly be better off getting your hosting from a reseller, when you could just as easily go directly to the source. Why on earth would you go anywhere but the source? Quite simply, to get a better deal on the same resources.
Same Hosting, for Less Money
If you get your hosting from a hosting reseller, such as 365i, your going to get exactly the same technology, systems, and resources as you would get if you were dealing directly with the source hosting provider. Resellers are selling you the same resources as their provider would sell you. No different. However, in order to be competitive, the reseller will almost always sell it to you for less than their provider.
You get the same top notch hosting, it just costs you less.
Excellent Support
At 365i we’ve always been proud to tell our customers that we are resellers. It says something more about us than you might think?
If you get your hosting from one of the popular top level suppliers, of which there are many, you will get (hopefully) exactly what you pay for. You’ll get the services as they were advertised to you. Plus you’ll get the support you would expect from a large company. It’s great! The thing is, you’ll be a very small fish in a very big pond.
They will promptly support you on any hosting related questions you ask of them. At a minimum, you would expect that, of course. Some hosting providers offer better support than others, that’s always going to be true.
If you ask them questions about SSL, they’ll direct you to their offerings. If you need an FTP account created, they’ll either direct you to the tool to create one yourself, or maybe they’ll create it for you if your lucky. If you complain because your site is running slow, they’ll likely show you some stats from a test they ran that proves the problem is how you built your site and suggest you go fix it. I guess that’s fair enough, if the hosting platform is performing as expected, it’s not really their problem. Perhaps they’ll suggest you use a CDN and better caching software?
How about you ask them for advice on the best plugin to use for SEO? Or ask for help with a CSS problem you’re having? More commonly, you tell them your having problems adding your new mailbox to Outlook on your desktop, or adding it to your mobile phone? What do you imagine they will say then?

Hosting Support Team
You might be lucky and fair better than that, but typically they aren’t going to get into anything that isn’t directly related to the hosting they offer you. So long as their systems are working, the rest is your problem. They’ll direct you to the information you need to setup your mailbox, but then your own your own.

Notwithstanding the unpleasant nature of the person who said it, he was both dead right, and dead wrong:
