The much anticipated, long awaited, eagerly desired 3.0 update for Elementor landed 2 days ago. Perhaps a tad early though?
If you've done the upgrade, you'll no doubt be very happy with the new features it brings. Particularly the global settings for colours, fonts, etc. I know we're going to love these features!
However, if you're someone who makes frequent use of the theme builder templates/blocks, you might not want to do the update just yet.
Is it 2 stones, or 1 bird?
The first thing we noticed on the staging sites where we did the updates is that there are now 2 Theme Builders. Yes, 2.
We've been told that one is for the legacy theme builder, if people prefer it. The other is the new one. You'd think they would update the name of one of them? Like, "Legacy Theme Builder" for the old one? But, no.

Pro Licence Not Recognised
The next thing we discovered, is that while the new theme builder looks like a major refinement and very slick indeed, we are unable to use any of it because Elementor no longer thinks we have a Pro licence? I assure you, we do.

Have discussed these issues on social media, it turns out everyone we encountered that's done the update has found the exact same issues. We fully expect the lovely people at Elementor to publish an update to fix these hiccups momentarily, we'd advise everyone to wait a few days before doing the update.
Conclusion
We absolutely love the new features! Just wait until they update their update before you do your update. When we know more, we'll update you about the updates.
UPDATE
Elementor 3.0.1 has come out which, along with the release of Elementor Pro 3.0, seems to have fixed most of the initial glitches.
We're still only updating our staging sites, not our live sites. Just until we're as sure as we can be that it's stable.
We knew they would be quick to react though. Good chaps! 🙂
